Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Step 2: Cream Butter and Sugars

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Step 3: Add Eggs and Vanilla

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 4: Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix well.

Step 5: Add Chocolate Chips

Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

Step 6: Scoop Dough

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.
